I don't think people understand the sort of things that are found in our tap water. Not only are you going to find things like Chlorine and Fluoride, but there are other chemicals, sediments, elements and even micro-organisms. All of these things have their issues and some are debatable on whether they're good or bad. You have to remember that the water treatment facilities don't actually remove anything bad. They just minimize it to so many parts per million (ppm). This number is set by government regulators. Whether you think that is good or bad, is really your choice. The point is that you need a way to filter off the things in water from your own home. and this is where a filter comes into play. Even though there isn't a lot of chlorine in our water supply, pure chlorine is considered poisonous to human beings. Like I mentioned before, it is debatable on whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. Obviously more opinions feel it is safe and they maybe right. But the likelihood that there are real problems could come decades in the future and be extremely hard to identify. With chlorine shower filters you will significantly reduce the amount of harmful irritants that will make it on your skin. Installation is an important part of the process, so make sure that you read the instructions and install it properly. Putting something on wrong or backwards will make such a filter useless for the people using it. I want to reiterate the point that I don't think Chlorine is a bad thing and I don't think it is bad to put in our water. Obviously it can kill off micro-organisms to the point that we won't end up getting sick. This is why the water supply in the United States is much better than other countries. You could go on a vacation in Mexico, drink some water and get sick. That's how bad it can be in some countries. Obviously chlorine is playing a vital role in keeping our water clean. My suggestion is that we filter it on our end. This means by the time the water gets to us, it will be clean and with a chlorine shower filter we'll have regular water without the chlorine and without any harmful chemicals.
